Cleaning up within minutes

I used to avoid cooking because of the thought of cleaning up afterwards. Here are two things I do make cleaning kitchen counter a breeze -

I collect food scraps in the plastic containers that come with produce so that the counter doesn't have to be cleaned especially when I am in a hurry to get ready for work in the morning. Discard the scraps, rinse the container for another time or toss the container with scraps. Done!

If I'm working with a particularly messy recipe I lay down newspapers on the kitchen counter. When I'm done, I discard the newspaper and what's left is a quick wipe down for mental peace.
